Tax season is upon us! Here are some pertinent tax documents to start gathering:

– W2: Wages earned.

– 1099-DIV: Reports dividends earned in brokerage accounts.

– 1099-INT: With interest rates higher, you may have reportable interest earned if greater than $10.

– 1099-B: Reports any security transactions in a brokerage account. Note: The above three may be reported on a Consolidated 1099.

– 1099-R: Reportable distributions (or conversions) from a qualified retirement account.

– 1099-SA: Watch for this if you took any distributions from a Health Savings Account (HSA).

– 1098: Mortgage interest paid.

– Charitable donation receipts.

Remember, if you’ve elected e-delivery of statements and other documents, you may have to log in and download your various tax documents.
